Nearing 40 (although not according to her IMDB), Carlie is at that place in her life where half of her friends are raising kids, and the other half are on mushrooms watching Diplo do a secret set in a Laundromat in Echo Park. With her acting career nowhere as far along as she had hoped, and torn between wanting to stay young and party and wanting to be in bed by 10pm to watch a cozy British mystery and not aggravate her overactive bladder, Carlie must navigate what it means to still be broke and pursuing your dreams at an age where most people choose to give up and get real jobs. When her BFF, Abe, comes up up with an idea for her to do a bucket list of things she feels she'd be missing out on if she finally "grew up," Carlie runs with the idea and begins checking items off her list. From ordering a drink past 8pm (not ideal for the bladder situation) to having a one night stand with a younger man, the list empowers Carlie in a way she hasn't felt in a long time. But is it enough to help her figure out her future? And even if it is, a surprise realization might change her plan forever.
