Spells Before Destiny - from the musical "This is Love"-
Eva, a childhood friend of Shiny, a strict and sensitive architect, runs the show club EVAZ. Tonight, Eva is again visited by troubled people who come to her for advice. She will be singing a spell tonight to cheer someone up.
Jacqueline and Natalie are not friends, nor do they know each other directly. Each has different feelings, different lives, different everything, but they sing the same spell.
One night, Aroma and Shiny, who have only known each other a short time, are hard at work on a new construction project.
"What kind of child were you?" Aroma, who grew up in a orphanage, asked Shiny such a question.
They both reminisced about their childhood favorites. It was an irreplaceable "escape" and a time of peace for them as children. The spell they sang as children is evoked.

Dysfunctional Dating
Tru Heart is single and not loving it, with hopes of bringing an awkward Jewish guy home for Christmas, but when he’s too shy to make a move, her fantasies take over.
Mini Synopsis:
Tru Heart is thirty-five, single and not loving it, with just a month to find a good man to bring home for Christmas dinner, after lying to her Grandma about not being alone anymore. Old-fashioned in her style and values, online dating is not for her, so she fantasizes about coffee house Daniel asking her out, but when this awkward Jewish guy is too shy to make a move, she finds a way for them to be together, under the most unusual circumstances.

Reviews:
"Have you ever said the wrong thing and the more you try to dig yourself out of it, the worse the situation seems to get, and then you find yourself endlessly replaying this embarrassing chain of events in your head? This relatable scenario is the opening premise of comedian and indie musician John Dredge's latest short film, as its economical run time follows the ingenious measures its hapless protagonist takes to to rectify his social faux pas, with a timey wimey twist. Cut from the same cloth of dour yet whimsical everyday English surrealism as the antics of Graham Fellowes, Chris Sievey and Vic & Bob, this is a short and sweet, small scale vignette about social awkwardness and foot in mouth syndrome with an ingenious conclusion and satisfying payoff."

"This short neatly portrays an embarrassing situation, and then heads off in an unexpected direction, before arriving at a great ending" - British Comedy Guide
“It’s funny, charming and accomplished” - Alan Marke (Detectorists, Shooting Stars)
“This is the film that Christopher Nolan has spent his whole career building up to, but John Dredge got there first” Robin Ince (The Infinite Monkey Cage, Mock The Week)
